South Merrick, New York, U.S. 14th July 2013. As National Weather Service extends its Heat Advisory in Long Island, New York, through to the next day. South Shore winds helped visitors at Llvy Park and Preserve cope with the dangerous heatwave spreading throughout the Northeast, 92 degrees Fahrenheit, 33 degrees Celsius.  A Park Ranger drove visitors in a solar power Green Energy Vehicle, to the top of the hill, the highest point of South Shore of Long Island.
