Erik Lindbergh, grandson of aviator Charles Lindbergh, participates in 85th anniversary celebration of his grandfather's historic solo flight across Atlantic, on Saturday May 19, 2012, at Cradle of Aviation museum, Long Island, New York. Autographed photo of Lindbergh, taken while he was readying for that flight, has dedication: "George C. Dade, President of Long Island Early Fliers Club, Glen Head, Long Island. in memory of a reunion after 50 years, 1973." Significance of the 1927 flight of C. Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis which started at nearby Roosevelt Field, and ended at Le Bourget, France - was discussed, along with future of aviation, by panelists Larry Williams, Erik Lindbergh, Martha King and John King; plus, plaque commemorating the flight was rededicated. 10th anniversary of Cradle of Aviation opening and 35th anniversary of Charles A & Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation were also celebrated.
