Seaford, New York, USA. 3rd June 2015. MOHINDER SINGH TANEJA of Salisbury, a Sikh and Indian community advocate, and MARIA BRENNAN of Wantagh, pose for a photo at Press Conference supporting extension of the NY Property Tax Cap. Earlier, BRENNAN introduced the Governor after she spoke to audience about how, prior to the tax cap, her taxes increased 10% in one year, and how high taxes are a concern to family members she'd like to join her in Long Island. At the bi-partisan event at Knights of Columbus Hall, over a hundred area residents and officials, and the governor, urged extending the property tax cap before the state legislative session ends on June 17. The NY Property Tax Cap is set to expire June 2016, but is legally linked to NYC rent-control regulations set to expire this month.
