Miss Wantagh Pageant ceremony, a long-time Independence Day tradition on Long Island, is Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Wantagh School, New York, USA. First runner up was Allysa Kelly, 2nd runner up was Paulina Renda, receiving congratulations from Legislator Dave Denenberg (Merrick - District 19).. Since 1956, the Miss Wantagh Pageant, which is not a beauty pageant, has crowned a high school student based mainly on academic excellence and community service.
